Maldives Visa Requirement:

Basic Requirement:

  • On arrival visa is issued if necessary to travelers staying for no more than 90 days provided they are citizens of Bangladesh, with valid passports.

 

Additional Information:

  • Travelers must have tickets and documents needed for their return or onward trip. Each traveler entering Maldives without a hotel reservation, or a Maldivian sponsor is required to have at least USD 30 per day to cover the expenses of their intended visit. All travelers must fill in and submit a landing card to the immigration officer upon arrival.
  • Travelers staying for no more than 90 days from the arrival date may extend their visit through paying a fee of MVR 750 to the Department of Immigration in Male at least one day before the expiry date of the permitted entry. Travelers are not allowed to stay in the Maldives for more than 90 days.

 

Special Note:

  • Normal passport bearers, who are citizens of Bangladesh, India and Pakistan-wishing to stay for more than 30 days up to no more than 90 days must be supported by a local sponsor. In case the travelers have already arrived in the Maldives and have extended their visit after the original 30-day stay, the sponsor must inform the Immigration at Male before the expiry of the 30-day visa on arrival. Alternatively, in case the travelers arrive in Male for an intended visit between 30 days and no more than 90 days, they must obtain a local sponsor before arrival. The sponsor must inform the Department of Immigration at Male at least one day before the arrival of the traveler. In any case, travelers are not allowed to stay in the Maldives for more than 90 days.
